The aim of this Web site is to record the details of those men who fought in the Great War and were connected to Silksworth and Tunstall.
All the names are collected from War memorials, monumental inscriptions and other sources. The memorials are not all located in Silksworth and so there may be other names out somewhere.
Where there is confirmation, in the various records, that man is connected to Silksworth then the details can be found from the index.
By publishing the known details I hope to elicit the outstanding details and complete the record for the future.
